PM Narendra Modi's 19 Commandments


BANGALORE: Post the stringent rules embarked upon the Indian Bureaucrats, Modi led NDA government now rolled out 19 ambitious commandments for them to maintain ‘high ethics’ and ‘political neutrality’ while discharging their duties. These commandments were incorporated in the All India Services (Conduct) rules, 1968 for IAS, IPS and Indian Forest Service officers.

The new commandments ammended by the PM range from asking the ‘babus’ to be ‘nice and polite’, to bring transparency, high ethical standards, political neutrality, discharge duties with the highest degree of professionalism and dedication to the best of their abilities.

According to the new set of rules inserted by the government, "Every member of the service shall maintain promoting of principles of merit, fairness and impartiality in the discharge of duties, accountability and transparency, responsiveness to the public - particularly to the weaker sections - and courtesy and good behavior with the public," reports The Economic Times.
